Our clients in York had lived here for some years, but when they had a little more time in their lives had decided to develop and re-design their garden and following a recommendation asked us to help.

The main part of the development here was to deal with the surface water problem of the existing garden. Once drainage was created, the design focused on a good sized entertaining area close to the house with a sight line through a brick built pergola and onwards to a bench seat. The summerhouse made the most of the sun, and planting created to provide colour all year round. A mowing strip to the lawn edge also cut down on maintenance long term.
